Sean will be moderating a panel discussion at GSummit on the Gamification of Sport, which will include leading thinkers in the gamification of AFL Dream team, Herald-Sun Super Coach and Tennis Australia’s Australian Open.
Sean developed Sports Geek from a startup in two years being connected with over 1,000,000 Facebook fans through Sports Geek Clients. Sean understands the sports digital landscape that incorporates technology, social media and gamification. Sports Geek is connected with over 1,000,000 Facebook fans with clients in the NBA, AFL, NRL & Cricket and has provided sports digital consulting across multiple countries – USA, Australia, New Zealand & India.
Sean helped Collingwood become the first AFL team to reach 100,000 Facebook fans (200% growth in 3 months). Sean has assisted 5 sports teams to break through the 100K Facebook fan mark and has developed social media sales strategy using Facebook, Twitter & blogging for Manly Sea Eagles that saw a 300% increase in season ticket sales to exceed target of 10,000 in 2011.
Sean launched sports social media product Sports DP at the NBA Draft with Sports DP that saw 63% of Timberwolves fans tweeting about the NBA Draft sign up to participate. Assisted athletes including Harry O’Brien, Scott Pendlebury, Kurt Tippett & George Rose in developing a digital fan audience using social platforms.
